“The Straw that broke the Camel's back" for the single parent who has always just managed to balance the household budget, is the breakdown of the fridge, the cooker, the washing machine - which they can't do without and yet can't afford to replace - within their terrifyingly tight budget.

This is the person who had been proud to have always paid their way yet overnight becomes the 'can't pay' judgment debtor. Sherbet can help to get them back on track with a one off replacement of that vital domestic appliance and the debtor can then endeavour to keep within their budget and out of the courts - to the benefit of all.

Sherbet is an imaginative means to enable the most vulnerable to be helped out and the charity looks to make a vital contribution in an area where help is most needed.
